Nose Reshaping

Nasal surgery (Rhinoplasty) is performed to change the appearance and sometimes improve the function of your nose. It can reduce the overall size and shape of the nose, reshape the tip, remove a nasal bump, or improve a poor angle between the nose and upper lip.

Rhinoplasty is also performed to correct deformities resulting from a previous injury or to relieve breathing problems which may be associated with snoring.

Some of the indications that you may be a good candidate for rhinoplasty:

It is important that you have a clear idea of how you would like your nose to look and, at the same time, realise that there are limitations to the procedure. Patients with sufficient physical and emotional maturity who undergo rhinoplasty because they want to enhance their self-image are usually very satisfied with the outcome.

Planning your surgery……….

Rhinoplasty is a very individualised procedure. At your initial consultation the surgeon will discuss your goals for the surgery. He will discuss your medical history and check for medical conditions that could cause problems during or after surgery. He will explain the techniques and anaesthesia and the risks involved, and will answer any questions you may have, especially those regarding your expectations and concerns about the results.

For surgery in Cyprus, you need to stay for a minimum of 7 days, which includes a 1 night stay in the clinic and gives time for your recovery and primary post-operative care before returning home.

Getting back to normal……..

There isn't usually significant discomfort after surgery and you should be up and about in a day, but plan on taking it easy at first. Your surgeon will give you more specific guidelines for gradually resuming your normal activities but above all, get plenty of rest and allow your body to spend its energy on healing. Most patients can resume work just a few days after surgery.
